Preservatives such as Ethoxyquin and BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole) are banned from human consumption. Avoid them in pet food as well.

Brushing your dog's teeth at least 3 times a week is essential for good dental health.  Train your dog to accept teeth brushing early on. 

Paraben and its derivatives are commonly found in pet shampoo to prolong shelf life, but they may cause allergic contact dermatitis in pets and human.

Freeze drying is a process that involves freezing the product, lowering pressure, then removing the ice by sublimation. In contrast, conventional drying uses heat to remove water.

Chocolate is toxic to dogs because it contains a chemical called theobromine. The first signs of theobromine poisoning are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and increased urination.

Some common house plants are poisonous to dogs and cats. If you see your pets chewing on the plants, it is better to remove the plants.

Pet food usually includes these essential nutrients: protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, water.

How much you should feed your pet depends on its age and activity level.  Daily feeding amount in food label only serves as a reference.

The majority of essential oils are toxic to cats. All cats lack glucuronyl transferase, a liver enzyme, that helps to break down most essential oils.

Both flaxseed oil and fish oil provide omega-3 EFAs. However, the omega-3 EFA in flaxseed oil (ALA) is an inactive form and must be converted to EPA and DHA, the active forms of omega-3 EFA.

Dogs and cats most often develop allergies to the protein in meat and dairy products.  Hydrolysis is a method to break down protein molecules to prevent food allergies.

Dogs scoot because of overly full anal glands. Adding fiber to your dog's diet can minimize the necessity of manual anal gland expression.

The first three ingredients are the most important in pet food. You can tell if the food is grain based or meat based.

Some low-quality cat litters contain crystalline silica dust.  Crystalline silica can may accumulate in your cat’s lungs, resulting in silicosis.

Ingredients in pet food should be high quality and highly digestible. Your pets cannot digest feathers, hide or hoofs (animal digest / by-products).

If a product sold on this site is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, Wise Pet reserves the right to refuse any orders placed at the incorrect price.  You will be asked to pay for the correct price if you want to proceed with the order.  If payment is already made by credit card, you will be asked to pay for the difference or we shall issue the credit to your credit card account and cancel your order.

 

Price & Promotion Changes

All prices and promotions listed on our site are subject to change without notice.  Promotional items are usually sold at limited quantities.  We reserve the right to withdraw any promotional offers at our own discretion. 

 

Delivery

If you ask to have the products delivered to your door or management office / security post without anyone signing the delivery invoice, you will be solely responsible for any loss or damage to the products.  Wise Pet will not replace or refund your purchase under these circumstances.

We will not deliver your order if we cannot contact you by phone on delivery day.  The delivery staffs are only required to bring the products to your door (if elevator is available), they are not required to enter your premises.

If your premise is not accessible by elevator, you will have to come down to pick up the products or pay a surcharge on mutual agreement. If the order weighs more than 40 lbs, our delivery staff may refuse to carry the products upstairs.

 

Order Cancellation

Cancellation should be made by phone before 5:00 p.m. one day prior to the delivery day.  If your order has already been sent to the courier, you will be charged with $50 delivery fee.  If you refuse to accept the order on delivery, you will be charged with a restocking fee ($100).   

  

Use of Site

You may write product reviews on the site.  Wise Pet will block any comments that are defamatory, abusive, illegal, or serve to promote other business activities and services.
