Dog treat is an invaluable training tool because most dogs are motivated by food. You know the difference when you have a treat in your hand when teaching a command. Single ingredient freeze dried treat can be sprinkled into dry food to improve the flavor and nutritional value of dry food. Dental chews and bones help clean the teeth and gum and relieve boredom. Soft treats are good training award as they are easy to break into small pieces while hard jerky can help to clean the teeth of small dogs (safer than bones for these little folks). There are also functional treats with added dog supplements to help improve skin condition, increase mobility and help with digestion.
All of our dog treats are made with natural human grade ingredients without artificial color and flavor (which are used to cover up the poor ingredients of cheap products). Feed hard treats such as bones, antler and himalayan cheese stick under supervision. Take away small pieces that break away if you think your dogs may swallow them whole without chewing. We recommend feeding bones, antler, himalayan cheese stick 1-2 hours after meal (i.e. when dogs are not hungry), let the dog chew on it for 1/2 hr to 1 hr and take away the unused part for another day.
Your dog will love you more for giving him his favourite treat but please don't overfeed it or use treats to replace regular meal. Excessive consumption of dog treats may lead to obesity and reluctance to consume regular diet.
