A small kibble with increased levels of oil and protein, for puppies and smaller dogs who have a faster metabolic rate.  The high calorie formula is also suitable for pregnancy, lactation, stress, high activity and underweight, mature dogs.

Young dogs should be kept lean until two years of age and should be allowed to fill out with maturity, not from excess calories.  At about six months of age, we recommend mixing the Hund-n-Flocken adult food with this puppy food.  Nutrients such as protein, calcium and total energy intake can affect the rate of skeletal development, particularly in large and giant breeds who are particularly prone to hip dysplasia and joint problems.
